Wild River Herbed Honey Glaze Sauce

My first recipe!!!  Woo-hoo!!!!  In the previous post I had mentioned a honey glaze that I had come to make, pretty much by accident.  It has since become a staple in my kitchen.  I thought I would take some time and share the recipe with you, my dear readers!

Wild River Herbed Honey Glaze Sauce
2 cups honey
1 cup Lea & Perrin’s Worcestershire Sauce
1/4 teaspoon Thyme
1/4 teaspoon Oregano
1/4 teaspoon Basil
1/4 teaspoon Rosemary
1/4 teaspoon Sage
Directions
Combine honey and Worcestershire sauce (dip finger in mixture and add more Worcestershire sauce until desired taste) in medium sauce pan and place on high heat.
Heat until bubbles begin to form, lower heat and simmer.
Add herbs (varying amounts of herbs may be aded for desire flavor) and simmer for 15 minutes.  Stir occasionally so that herbs mix.
Store in covered container in refrigerator.

Keep a careful eye on the mixture - honey, when it boils WILL bubble over.
Be aware, that while refrigerated, the mixture will get quite thick and when placed on meats it will thin out, so be judicious in your use of the glaze or your meats will be swimming.
For the Adventurous Cook
Try differing combinations of herbs until you find a blend that really works for you.
Differing combinations can be used for differing purposes, whether your doing hamburgers, steaks, filet mignons, poultries, etc.
Be bold, be brave but above all BE CREATIVE!
